Brandon J. Miles at Goodyear Tire Saves The Day

Cranberry Township, PA – 5/6/2017 – On the road from Pittsburgh to East Cleveland and then back again this story took a strange change as pothole damage in East Cleveland Ohio destroyed my car tires.

While trying to make it back to Pittsburgh PA the pothole, or some in Pittsburgh would call it Chuck hole damage took it’s toll as a huge bubble on the rear tire busted and went flat.

The car has a Goodyear temporary spare tire that some call doughnut however this one has never been used since the cars inception in 2006. Located underneath the rear of the car it has sat for a long time without air or care about it’s stability.

Even after taking the car to the Cranberry Township store, my idea was just to put some air in the tire and drive back to Pittsburgh. Even after store manager Brandon J. Miles explained and showed me the damage on my tires I was willing to take the chance and drive on a temporary spare tire.

Chalk marks show pothole damage to tire

Thank God for Mr. Miles who after telling the tale of my reporting and showing him both 44112News.com and 411PGH.com, he let me take a time-out to think about what I was about to do.

Instead I purchased four brand new all-season tires on the car and he even repaired the temporary spare. Reasonable price with a rebate for buying four and safety on the road made this stop and trip worth while.
